SIMPLY REBLOG AND YOU CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Hey there, my name is Shayla and I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember. I’ve been lucky enough to grow in a stable household and I’ve never had to deal with a life altering illness, but I know first hand how important video games can be. Gaming can offer an escape from our daily lives and a chance to unwind. People my age and older benefit from it- now imagine how important it is for children who are suffering from illnesses of all kinds to have distraction and a chance to have fun in their lives. That’s why I want to donate to Penny Arcade’s Child’s Play charity.

ABOUT CHILD’S PLAY
Since 2003, we’ve set up and organized Child’s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 70 hospitals worldwide. Over the years, you as a community have answered the call and come together to raise millions of dollars.

Child’s Play works in two ways. With the help of hospital staff, we set up gift wish lists full of video games, toys, books, and other fun stuff for kids. By clicking on a hospital location on our map, you can view that hospital’s wish list and send a gift.

Child’s Play also receives cash donations throughout the year. With those cash donations, we purchase new consoles, peripherals, games, and more for hospitals and therapy facilities. These donations allow for children to enjoy age-appropriate entertainment, interact with their peers, friends, and family, and can provide vital distraction from an otherwise generally unpleasant experience.

-Child’s Play.”

ABOUT MY FUNDRAISER

  • For every re-blog of this post, I will donate 20 cents to the Child’s Play charity! The deadline I’m setting is February 19th so on that day, I’ll do the math and figure out how much I’ll be donating to them.

  • I AM NOT ASKING FOR ANY MONEY. All I want is for people to reblog this post and spread the word! The number of reblogs will decide how much I donate to Child’s Play. I don’t want your money. Just your awareness and kindness.

  • I don’t know how successful this will wind up being, but you have my word that every reblog WILL act as money towards Child’s Play. Even if I have to set a certain amount of money out of my pay cheques and do so for years, I’ll do it and that’s a promise!

THE BREAKDOWN

1 reblog = 20 cents
10 reblogs = 2 dollars
50 reblogs = 10 dollars
100 reblogs = 20 dollars
150 reblogs = 30 dollars
200 reblogs = 40 dollars
500 reblogs = 100 dollars
1000 reblogs = 200 dollars

the techniques of an interview

When interviewing a person for factual programs there are types of questions, modes of address and context that can be used in order to find out what you need to know or want to show your audience.

Types of questions

When asking questions to an interviewee there are different types of stylised questions that can be asked in order to find the information that is relevant to progress the interview and lead to more information being acquired.

Open

An open-ended question is a question that can lead on and develop onto questions that increase our knowledge of the subject and dig deeper into answer these are used early on in a interview as they can be expanded on and lead to further trust between the interviewee ad the interviewer.

Suggestive

This type of question is asked if you want the conversation to leer to you asking a question you may or not know and can be used to gain access to here the interviewees response to the allegation or question, these questions are used in interview programs that may enquire into aspects of the subjects life for instance the Pierce morgan show in which sensitive questions are asked.

Direct

Similar to the suggestive questions motives but following a more direct approach to the question so the interviewer wastes no time in getting the answer this kind of question can be risky in a long interview as the use of spontaneous may invoke distrust in the interviewee and they may be more closed off and secretive about answering later questions, however in the use of quick questions this option is a great-way of getting information in such a short amount of time.

Difficult issues

In the film there are multiple issues that can offend governments other countries and individuals.

Saddam Hussien being in a sadistic homosexual relationship with Satan.

This is a very wrorrying issue as in 1999 when the film was madeSaddam Hussien is alive and wanted by the American government for act of genocide , warfare and threatening to build nuculer missiles. It is avery bold statement to ridicule him in large american film  as this could agrovate conflict even more.

The dipiction of canaidians being of a different race (racism).

In the film canaidians have a different art style that their top half of there heads are not atached to there lower half and to speak their heads violently flap around also in a scene where all the leaders of the world are they are the only different ones there.

Right wing christian Americans not trying to resolve a problem but by blaming another country for an action Americans could have stoped.

When the canadian film “asses of fire” comes out in the cinima kids sneek in and watch it learning how to swear instead of thiere mothers blaming the cinima they start conflict with Canada which escalades into a full scale war between Canada and America

Connection to the audience

When the viewer watches this film they watch the happenings with each of the main four characters and tries to make the audience laugh with the sadistic humor of the piece for instance when Kenny get blown up when doctors accidentally replace his heart with a baked potato Kenny explodes covering Cartman with blood and his main concern are his clothes and not his friend.

Characters

In the film there are four main characters each with a different role in the plot.

Kyle

His problem is that his mother is taking things to seriously and she won’t listen to him anymore he is also one of the heroes of the story he seems to be like any child whose parents won’t listen to even though they are trying to help.

Stan

His problem is that he falls in love with Wendy a girl in his class unfortunately when she talks to him he vomits in her face to make matters worse a new student comes along who is posher than Stan and smarter so Stan asks chef how “to make a girl love him more than any other man” chef accidentally says “you just have to find the clitoris…..whops” so Stan goes off to find the clitoris not knowing its part of the lady anatomy.

He relates to us as he can’t get the girl he wants just like most boys.

Cartman

His role is the anti hero he is really mean to everyone and swears a lot and causes two deaths.

His problem is that after singing that “Kyle’s moms a bitch” he gets implanted with the “V-Chip” a devise that causes him to be violently electrocuted when he swears later on it becomes a gift as he gets electrocuted when he swears he can electrocute others in his fight with Saddam Hussein.

Kenny

His role seems to be a side kick he is only there for the gags and has minimal dialog and when he does speak its muffled also the fact that he dies and goes to hell when he gives emotional support to Satan but in the end he saves every one and goes to heaven.

Overall

It’s brilliant and original and very sadistic

I give this film **** (4 stars)

 Yay

south park: bigger longer uncut

Start

South park bigger longer uncut directed in 1999 by Trey parker produced by Paramount Pictures with Comedy Central

The target audience for the film is for 16-21 I think this as the 16 year olds get the numerous swearing and depictions of graphic deaths and war but the older viewers get the social aspects of the gags and the risqué gags.

The film is aimed towards males in particular the plot line of Stan on the quest to make Wendy love him by trying to find the clitoris and the uses of violence, toilet humor, death, blood and extreme swearing the film would be watched in groups of males but the scenes with a homosexual nature may leave viewers uncomfortable especially “Big Gay Al’s” song.

Visuals

The classic south park look is key in the animations as it’s a 2D art style but because of the fact it’s a film it contains a 3d digital elements but these look cheap and outdated compared to modern graphics in most scenes it is view full frontal onto the set and if the direction changes it turn 90 degrees.

The fact it’s a cartoon gives it a range of visuals that a live action can’t do.

Music

The film is largely an animated musical it features titles such as “shut your f*cking face uncle f*cker” a song that featured the word f*ck 13 times.

Also it has an amazing song “What Would Brian Boitano Do?” which shows the American champion ice skater saving grizzly bears with his magical fire breath and saving the human race (again).

In all the songs are all very risqué like “blame Canada” and “I can change” a song that features Saddam Hussein promising to his homosexual lover Satan.

Story

The story follows the kids from South Park (Cartman, Kenney, Stan and Kyle) who watch a Canadian film asses of fire by Terrance and Fillip that contains a lot of swearing they exit swearing which causes outrage among the right wing Christian American mothers who want to blame Canada and have their revenge Kenney then dies by lighting his fart and goes to hell where he finds out if Terrance and fillip die Satan and Saddam Hussein will rule the earth so the kids all try to save them.
